Wedding Makeup Tips

Wedding makeup is an important part of an important day. It’s important that wedding makeup is chosen carefully and practiced before the big day to avoid any last-minute problems.

Make sure to try out different  makeup looks with your dress. Wedding makeup looks can range from pale and delicate to bold and exotic. Try different shades of lipstick, eye shadow and eye liners to create coherent wedding makeup looks. Once you’ve decided on your exact wedding makeup, write down your look and take a picture. That way, on the day of the wedding, you or your wedding makeup artist will know exactly what to do.

Wedding makeup style

One classic style of wedding makeup looks is the classic pink look. Choose a light frosted pink lipstick and white or pastel eyeshadow for your wedding makeup. You’ll want a light blush for the apples of your cheeks to finish the “blushing bride” theme. For a more daring type of  makeup looks, opt for a berry or red lipstick. You can also use your wedding makeup to focus on your eyes. Some brides use false eyelashes with bold black eyeliner for a retro look. It may take many trials to find the perfect wedding makeup looks for your wedding, so consider the style of your dress and your wedding’s theme.

Brands

Once you’ve settled on your wedding makeup looks, it’s time to choose specific brands and types of wedding makeup items. Even if you’re not used to waterproof mascara, get it for this one day. Also, lipstick should be long lasting. You won’t have any chances during the reception to sneak off and check to make sure that your wedding makeup looks are still fresh. Layer primer, foundation and powder together for wedding makeup looks that will last for hours. Another makeup tip is to use fixer or spray your face lightly with hairspray. This keeps your makeup in place and will help it last through the night.

Perfecting your wedding makeup looks can take a lot of time and a lot of practice. Once you’ve decided on a look and you’ve purchased your wedding makeup, you’ll want to make sure that your look can last through hours or dancing and eating. However, once you’ve found the perfect style, you’ll have a stress-free wedding day, and you’ll be able to enjoy your big day without worrying about getting ready or having to do touch-ups.
