Special Effects Makeup Artist?
Ok, I just turned 18. I am sure to start thinking about jobs. My family told me I should go for something practical. But I want a career, not a mediocre job. So I wanted to do something that makes me happy. Movies Horror is my life, I enjoy working with makeup too. So I thought my job would be ideal as a special effects makeup artist. But I no idea where to start. Like what classes I even need to take. I guess the regular classes in a school of beauty would be of no help. But I can not exactly re-locating to Los Angeles or the United Kingdom. But I live in Wilmington, North Carolina, where many movies are filmed. I recently found a place not too far from my studio which is a special effects makeup. While It's something I modivate. But I have no idea of how to learn is all I need to know. Thus, any information on this is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!
There are special effects makeup classes offered by colleges that offer theater programs. Look and see if your local colleges offer a program.
