Lancome Makeup Bag
Would you recommend MAC products?
I’ve recently cleaned out my makeup bag and realised that I haven’t got anything decent left!
I normally get a selection of brands ranging from Rimmel to Lancome… But I would really like a matching set of everything… All I really need is foundation, tinted moisturiser, pressed power, blusher and mascara.
I’ve been looking at MAC products and they seem to look really nice, and aren’t too overpriced… My friends only use the odd product from MAC such as the lipsticks so I can’t ask them for advice, and I know for a fact that the ladies at the counter will force the products onto me if I even go and ask for information!
Any advice would be very helpful (especially if you use the products yourself!)
I’m in the UK so if you recommend other products other than MAC bare this in mind

Personally I love MAC, but if you have sensitive skin I would be careful when it comes to their face products as they have been known to break a lot of people out (including me – I can’t even use their makeup wipes anymore).
My favourite product categories from MAC are their eyeshadows and lipsticks, though I do love a lot of their blushers/mineralized skinfinishes as well!
MAC products are generally very good quality and cost less than the super high-end brands (CHANEL, DIOR, YSL) and even less than the less-high-end-but-still-high-end brands (NARS, MAKE UP FOR EVER, LAURA MERCIER).
I also wouldn’t bother with a MAC mascara, but that’s just my personal preference. You can find a lot of great drugstore mascaras that work very well and are obviously much, much more inexpensive.
