Online Makeup Artist Certificate
Become a makeup artist.?
I am very interested in becoming a freelance makeup artist (mainly married up). I been looking online for courses and found an intermediate level 2 BTEC Certificate Make-up Artist course. I want to know if a course is necessary and if it will help me anyway. Or if there is another way to become a makeup artist. Any advice would be great. UK only please. All response that breach will be reported.
Hello, I am a freelance makeup artist – and yes you do not need to study for it. I trained at the London College of Fashion for a little over a year – you need to be qualified to be independent or professional. I know it's a pain, but it's always nice once you are trained, you need to know what you do! BTEC course sounds good – is it really learned any good? or did you just learn from a textbook? Because it will not be a good qualification, you need experience and guardians. The bridal industry is great to work in make-up – many people think being a makeup artist is easy and fun, but its reality work difficult and at times highly critical, however, can be very rewarding. I hope this helps. Good luck in the future.
