Mineral Makeup Myths
I'm so confused about MINERAL OIL! HELP!?
OK, I'll start using Bio-Oil on my face for acne scars, I heard really great things about this. So then I read the ingredients on the website and found out that Paraffinum Liquidum (mineral oil) is the No. 1 ingredient. I have always heard horrible things on mineral oils. I also heard that these things are bad as myths, but I doubt hear more harm than good. So what is the truth?? Why does it seem like no one knows the real anwer as its major controversy or something? I mean all they have to do is test it like any other product they have set up. Also, if you used Bio-Oil, do you like? Thank you all!
Here is the problem, oil is good for your skin, mineral oil is not. Natural oil can hydrate the skin as the molecules can cross the surface of the skin and hydrates the skin making it more elastic and flexible and they do not clog pores as they enter. Mineral oils molecular structure is too big for the breakthrough of the barrier of skin so that it is at the top of the skin as a mask and does not let the skin breathe. And clogging pores. I am a skin specialist and have years of experience and education under my belt. It will clog pores.
