What is the best way to become a special effects makeup?

I have a Bachelor of Arts. I some knowledge of painting and sculpture. I know how to carve the foam, wood, iron, construct, weld a little and make finalty plaster molds (I have not explored rubber). Recently, I played with makeup and found that there is a lot like painting, except by using the face as my canvas. Does anyone know of a good school that would give me new skills to become an artist of prostheses for movies?

There some great schools in the Los Angeles area, if you do a bit of googling you should get some place. You can also experiment with some stage makeup to start learning how to work basic prosthetic. Every school has a program of theater makeup special effects should offer remedial courses and direct you to local stores that sell make-up rooms. Ben Nye is a stage leading makeup with Miscellaneous special effects. www.bennye.com
