Natural Organic Makeup Cosmetics
Am I obsessed with my products skin care?
I recently came across an article with a list of ingredients to avoid in cosmetics and after comparing with my products I literally threw all products except one gap organic soap! I mean, cream all, lotion, cleanser, toner, shampoo, lipstick and a bit of makeup has one or more of these ingredients in it! I was falling into madness reading all the information from several resources and are so overwhelmed. The majority of ingredients are said to cause cancer, are toxic and not safe for the skin for extended periods! HELP! Am I high? I am 25 years old and had no idea of all these chemicals found in all major brands. Honestly, I should have thrown a thousand dollars worth of product! Is all safe? Even "natural" I looked are labeled as having negative side effects b / c the FDA does not regulate the sale and manufacture of cosmetics or Ingredients. I recently did the same thing! I read this book called The Beauty Bible by Paula Begoun and she lists the chemicals that should never be far from the skin and it indicates that the top 5 ingredients should be. In addition, as you pointed out, the FDA does not solve anything cosemetic companies add to their products! They can do whatever they want. A company always uses the same lab results they have received in the 80s! So, to answer your question, No, I do not think your obsession to be. Just cautious.
