makeup brushes are usually made from the squirrel, mink, sable, horse (sometimes called horse or camel), or goat hair. Mink and brushes sand are products the cruel fur industry. Each year, millions of animals are trapped, drowned and beaten to death in the wild and strangled, gassed, electrocuted or skinned alive on fur farms. Horsehair is commonly obtained from horses that are slaughtered for their flesh. The Squirrels are hunted or trapped, and goats are shorn like sheep. Workers are often paid by volume, they shear the goats quickly This can cause serious injury. If this does not make you cringe, many of these poor animals do not die and are skinned alive.
Many makeup brushes are manufactured in developing countries where there is little or no animal welfare regulations. The good news is that we have more sacrifice of defenseless animals for a great makeup. There are some large companies that provide synthetic makeup brushes that are humane, feel amazing, and provide professional results.
My recommendation for the top brush is a humane society called target = "_blank"> Eco Tools. Their eco-Taklon brush sets are made beautiful sustainable wood and recycled brushed aluminum with an incredibly soft (but completely vegan) setae. These are really quality! And by far the best and softest brushes cruelty I have ever used. (I have 4 games still in my kit!) These documents are available in pharmacies everywhere.
