Help with Bare Minerals Makeup?

Ok, so I finally broke down and bought the BE kits get started face and eyes / lips / cheeks. My skin is fair, then I probably bought the right shade. I tried them the other night and not too sure what I did wrong …. but I did not like the results. The powder appeared to fall into each line, and increased pore. And I really do not that many imperfections, I'm only 24! But it certainly did not look "perfect" for me. My face was clean and not too dry when I applied and I swirled, tapped, sanded or A LOT so I thought. But as I said, it seems to maximize every imperfection and was a kind of feeling cakey. I felt like I look old. Should I try to bait their primetime below? Those of you guys use? And also, would like advice on the coverage of anti-allergy eye circles with BE. Not ready to give up now! Thank you!

You're not imagining it, either. You should take a look at the 134 complaints about Bare Minerals to this site: http://www.infomercialscams.com/scams/bare_minerals_complaints It works great for some, horrible for others. You're one of those in the middle. Read this: "I discovered that not everyone responds well to this product because it is not finely ground. Therefore, anyone with wide pore, like me, would have an adverse reaction to obtain large rocks in the crater on my face. I had perfect skin before using the product, not for … "I two friends that use Bare Minerals. Both have looked terrible since they started using it. It stresses many wrinkles. I'll stick with a good tinted moisturizer and concealer. "I had this put on my face at the airport, and thought it would be so good. Well, I looked terrible when I looked in the light of day. It is not good for your skin! I would like to see a dermatologist which recommended that junk. I'm sure it's a false claim too. I would never buy this kind of stuff. "As for your dark allergy induced by circles (which I also get), you have few options. You can buy a quality cocoa butter (no more than five dollars and many have) and apply a small amount under your eyes (not too close, it will attract dust and can cause infection). The healing properties can help to remove / prevent them from getting worse, depending on your skin type. You can also buy a concealer that matches your skin tone. (This does not get rid of them, it just hides them.) Drinking water, boosting your vitamins, and get more sleep may help remove circles. If it's bad, you might consider an allergy medication. Advice / Other Information: ** The cakey feeling can be experienced with most makeup. Try applying a little less, and make it on your skin. ** Only ever apply cocoa butter or makeup on the face clean, fresh washed. Beware though, the cocoa butter can be fat if you use another moisturizer. ** Search your makeup a bit before buying, especially foundations. Many loads makeup mineral use, such as corn starch, which are very hard on your face and your skin of moisture strip. Here's a useful link for foundations: http://beauty.about.com/od/foundationsconcealers/a/founda.htm ** Before applying any makeup, your face must be properly "prepared". Clean your face with a good face wash or mild soap (like Dove). Make sure to clean around your eyes with warm water (No soap). Wipe with a soft cloth and apply a moisturizer, moisturizing but not greasy. I use "Vaseline Intensive Care Aloe Cool & Fresh Light Moisturizing Lotion" and is the best I have ever used. Here's the link: http://www.drugstore.com/qxp140094_333181_sespider/vaseline_intensive_care/aloe_cool_and_fresh_light_moisturizing_lotion.htm ** I recommend looking makeup brands. You can be a foundation of a brand that is really good, but you may be able to purchase a great mascara from another. Explore and be a little freer between brands. ** Take a look at what is the composition that you are using. Some chemicals may not have an immediate effect, but they are not good for your skin over time. Bismuth oxychloride is used in most mineral makeup and gives the shimmering effect, but it can really damage people's skin. Cheers.
