Fear of clowns
By Kenneth J. McCormick
It's a funny thing about clowns, we can laugh with their antics and looks. When we see about 15 clowns get out of a Volkswagen Beetle at the circus she surprises us. Clowns can be really funny. Then there is the downside. Many children and even adults are just plain freaked out by clowns. What about the clown who makes them power to scare some people? The notorious serial killer John Wayne Gacy, who killed 33 boys and men that we know about, liked to dress like a clown. He liked to throw block parties and dressing up as clowns to entertain children and called himself "Pogo the Clown. That is how he acquired the nickname "The Killer Clown". It certainly was not doing something to improve the sense of well being to clowns.
Recently I mentioned the fact that there was a clown who died and all his fellow clowns put on their clown costume and his entourage attended the funeral and, and even carried the coffin. when they were in full clown costume. For some, this would be one of the creepiest things they had never seen. In fairness not everyone feels this way, it was somewhat of a tribute, but to those who had sense of dread watching clowns, it was really sending them the edge. Maybe clowns should be more sensitive to these feelings and try not to appear in these types of situations in costume full clown? Sometimes children are afraid of clowns, children who are too young have been affected by movies or television, they just feel the clowns are scarey. I've even seen animals such as dogs, which do not seem to have much love for the clowns.
Did you know that There's even a term for the fear of clowns? It is considered a phobia and called Coulrophobia. Yeah there are so many people with him he has his own life. One manner that is too bad. Some people panic attacks when they are around clowns and they can not breathe, among other problems. Others have just this nagging feeling of discomfort when they are around clowns. Some say they can not help thinking that the composition is hiding a sinister being that is just waiting to perform an unspeakable act on them. Of course, this is only their imagination playing tricks. What is really the cause of this reckless fear of Bozo? Firstly, people are uncomfortable when they can not see the face of the person they see. I am not someone who talks about turning the head, but I mean someone who is either a mask or makeup that hides their features. This tends to people very nervous.
There is more to this fear of clowns. Books and movies have not helped this problem. There are many books written scarey clowns on, but even worse are the movies. Even superheroes such as Batman has to face the Joker, a cruel and ruthless criminal who kills without a thought and still has a face painted to look like a clown smile. The film Killer Klown from Outer Space (1988) became a cult classic. It is foreigners who are clowns. These clowns destroy a city and a tower of people in a kind of soup that they can drink. The film, while designed as a black comedy, is able to really put a warning to those who have a fear of clowns and became very dark. A movie based on a story by Stephen King entitled "It" was a sort bad spirit that manifests itself as a clown, who has waited until he had a chance to attack and kill people. Other movies scarey clown and are Clownhouse spoilsport who had a mad cruel clown seemed to have supernatural powers. There are many more movies like this. The fear of clowns is not discriminatory and cuts across all levels of society. Some people who have this phobia surprise you. Here's a direct quote from the OMG that is managed by Yahoo, "Daniel Radcliffe: fear of clowns
It looks like a guy who went head-to-head with the Dementors and the One who is not named is not afraid of anything. But Daniel Radcliffe, who plays the most powerful wizard in the world, is afraid of clowns. And it is not the only star known coulrophobic: Johnny Depp and P. Diddy fear artists circus, too. "
If people like these actors, who see all sorts of effects in horror movies while they work, are still afraid clowns, what chance does an ordinary person get rid of this fear?
The medical profession has a variety of treatments for fear of the state of clown or Coulrophobia. They use different drugs to relax people. Therapies are also available, although I do not really know how effective all this stuff is in the long term. One of the therapies is to meet this condition until it is manageable. This is a sort of cold turkey. We recommend that if someone had to overcome that fear, they should try to do a little at a time. Do not try to rush in a room full of clowns and expect the phobia disappeared. Instead of you could disappear give you a heart attack. What could make this even worse is the clowns do not realize or care about your problem and decide to have a routine or two while you're there.
The worst fear of clowns is the fact that some people have even increased this fear, they realize it is irrational, but they can not help themselves. It is like fear of heights, no matter how some of us are trying, that fear is always us. We all know that clowns are just people's makeup and clothes stupid, but it does not help those who fear to feel better. Some say People with this fear was a traumatic experience when they have a child and this has caused Coulrophobia, but some say it is not the case at all. Could they have some sort of bad dream when they were children and he stayed with them in their subconscious? Fear of clowns is a phobia that seems to be a small epidemic. Many people seem to have this phobia. T it worse or will it get better and people a hundred years from now laugh at the idea? I guess we will wait and see.
